7 Ways To Fight Fatigue
•
Talk to your doctor specifically about your fatigue. He may
recommend iron and/or other supplements. Chemotherapy can
cause anemia in some patients and there are medications for
this, so it’s always best to tell your doctor about
your fatigue so that he can determine the best course of action.
Don’t suffer in silence!
• Limit visitors and phone calls. Have a family member
“run interference” for you when needed.
• Take frequent naps, and get a full night’s sleep
every night. Ask your doctor for advice if you’re having
trouble sleeping.
• Keep time-saving convenience foods on hand for easy
snacks and meals.
• Take a walk.
• Don’t hesitate to say “No” when
you’re just not up to doing something.
• Ask friends and family members to help with household
chores and run errands.
